Join the Environmental Resource Center on Tuesday, February 9 at 6:00 pm at The Community Library in Ketchum for a viewing of several environmental films. The first films are short (10 minutes or less) and explore the importance of connection to place. The final film, which runs approximately one-hour, “America’s Wildest Refuge: Discovering the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge” takes an in-depth look at the ecological history of this Alaskan refuge, those who created it and worked to protect it, and the precious opportunity we have today to protect one of our wildest places.
In January, the ERC-Community Library’s Environmental Book Series participants read Aldo Leopold’s “A Sand County Almanac” and discussed themes related to sense of place. These films are a follow up to that discussion; however, you do not need to have attended the discussion to enjoy these films.
