Reading to a dog helps children develop reading skills in a relaxed environment because dogs don’t correct or judge. Our Paws to Read program is a great opportunity for children to practice reading. “Paws to Read” happens every Saturday at 11:00 am in the Children’s Library.

The Community Library hosts a free screening of Maria Tartar’s lecture, ‘The Wolf Trap: Entering the Woods through Fairy Tales’, presented by Professor Samantha Harvey of Boise State University. ‘Animals are good to think with, as Claude-Lévi Strauss famously told us, and fairy tales confirm that wisdom. Free Film Screening of ‘Love Thy Nature’

Join us for a free screening of the film Love Thy Nature hosted by The Sawtooth Society. Narrated by Liam Neeson, Love Thy Nature is a cinematic journey into the beauty and intimacy of our relationship with the natural world. While our environmental crisis threatens the survival of our species, a renewed connection with nature holds the key to a highly advanced new era. Following the film, Bas Verheijen will give a short presentation.
