We rely on our volunteers and appreciate your help.
Since 1955, the Community Library has served the Valley’s residents and visitors as a non-profit FREE public library open to all. The Library receives no city, county, state or federal funds, relying instead on donations of all kinds: goods to the Gold Mine Thrift and Consignment shops, monetary contributions, and donations of time. As a Friend of the Library, there are many ways you can help keep your Library running smoothly, no matter what your schedule.
Do you have a favorite section of the Community Library, or a specific area of volunteer interest?
Multiple volunteer opportunities exist throughout the Community Library, here is a list of areas in which you can volunteer:
- Reference Room
- Front Desk
- Regional History Department
- Children’s Library
- Gold Mine and Gold Mine Consign
- The Sun Valley Museum of History (volunteers are needed especially for the museum’s new docent program)
There is something for everyone at the Library; each task is as important as the next. Your time as a “Friend of the Library” will be fun, valued, and appreciated!
