Family Movie Day

Join us in The Children’s Library for a free showing of Disney’s 101 Dalmatians. A classic, fun for all ages. This movie is 79 minutes long and is rated G. Popcorn will be provided. Remember: children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by a parent or caretaker age 14 or older.

Reading to a dog helps children develop reading skills in a relaxed environment because dogs don’t correct or judge. Our Paws to Read program is a great opportunity for children to practice reading. “Paws to Read” happens every Saturday at 11:30 am in the Children’s Library. Beginning now, every time to you come read to one of our volunteer dogs you can put your name in to win the gorgeous life-size plush Dalmatian dog on display in the Children’s Library…

Sewing Club

Sewing Club teaches basic hand stitching through simple projects for children over the age of 7. Supplies are provided, but sign-up is required. Please call the library at 208-726-3463 x 2 to reserve a space. This month’s project (repeated twice) will be fabric bunnies.

Learn to Draw Animals with Kimberlee Zacek

Come learn to draw animals! We’ll start with basic shapes to build your animals then work with color and shading to give them detail and life. Children in grades 4 and up may begin voting for their favorite Young Reader’s Choice Award Nominees. Voting will be held at the library beginning March 16 – April 15th.
