Communications Associate

The communications associate works with all departments to make The Community Library’s services, programs, and resources more visible and accessible to a broad public audience. This includes developing and implementing an overarching communications plan. This position is charged with developing creative avenues to promote multiple literacies, and the position also actively documents the Library’s work. The communications associate implements external communications through the website, press releases, print materials, public presentations, e-newsletters, social media, advertisements, and other multimedia, while maintaining a clear and compelling brand identity. The communications associate also coordinates on-site signage and assists with special displays. This position also supports the philanthropy department, particularly in terms of special communications around the current capital campaign. This is a part-time non-exempt position of 24 hours/week, supervised by the philanthropy director.

This individual assists with the processing, hanging, and displaying of all clothing items and helps set up the store for retail operations.
