Operations Manager

OPERATIONS MANAGER

The operations manager oversees human resources and internal procedures for The Community Library Association, helping to ensure a positive, fair, and productive work environment that advances the Library’s mission of promoting literacy and cultural engagement. The operations manager is the point person in a range of personnel matters, including the logistics of the hiring process and staff orientation, employee benefits, and professional development. The operations manager also serves as the staff liaison to support the executive director in board matters, including board orientation, board meeting and committee management, and board development. The person in this position oversees regular facilities maintenance, coordinates with library staff and external contractors to keep the library and associated facilities in great condition, and maintains office supplies and equipment. The position requires a high level of independent judgment, initiative, discretion, and technical skills. The operations manager works closely with and reports directly to the executive director. It is a full-time (40 hours/week) exempt position.

Regional History and Museum Summer Intern

The Community Library seeks a part-time summer intern for the Regional History Department and the Sun Valley Museum of History. The summer intern position assists the regional history department director with a focus on museum operations.  Duties include detailed collection management data entry, handling artifacts, scanning photographs, leading the public through exhibits, as well as basic daily museum operations. The ideal candidate has an educational focus in history or museum studies, as well as excellent communication skills.  The position involves 20 hours per week and may include some Saturdays and Tuesday evenings. Librarian I

LIBRARIAN I

 

The Community Library is accepting resumes for the position of Librarian I.  This is a permanent, full-time position (or as negotiated) involving duties at the library’s main circulation desk. This position involves regular contact with library users and demands strong communication skills. Applicants should be familiar with digital technologies, reader advisory and customer service. The ideal candidate will have some library experience and/or education or other experience related work experience. A demonstrated attention to detail and interest in literature are required. Bilingual is preferred.  Qualifications: bachelor’s degree preferred, accurate typing at 45 plus wpm, demonstrated customer service skills, computer literacy.
