This interactive lecture with hands-on activities led by Sam Byrd of ¡DiversityWorks! and Leo Morales of the Idaho ACLU will affirm the human dignity of all people by encouraging participants to reinforce respectful treatment and acceptance of individuals from diverse cultures. Participants will learn practices and behaviors that help create communities that are proactively inclusive including how gender, legal status, and language impacts our communities; how the dominant culture influences linguistic, social, and economic inclusion; how to identify and use resources and knowledge that enhances intercultural collaboration, and how to increase the ability of participants to work with people different from themselves in ways that are, genuinely inclusive. *This workshop is generously supported by Don and Marcia Liebich as part of the Idaho Non-profit Education Initiative.
