Ann Christensen will host Science Time in the Children's Library. Sometimes furry, feathered, or scaled creatures make a visit and Ann teaches about animals, their habitats, and our natural world. Science Time is every Tuesday at 11:00.

Adults can study English as a Second Language in these free community classes, beginning Tuesday, April 18 at 6 pm, running each Tuesday through June 27. The classes are taught by Janet Ross-Heiner, M.A. and Karen Little, M.A.

“A House Full of Females: Plural Marriage and Women’s Rights in Early Mormonism” by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich

Laurel Thatcher Ulrich discusses her latest book, A House Full of Females: Plural Marriage and Women's Rights in Early Mormonism, 1835-1870. Thatcher Ulrich is a historian of early America and the history of women and a professor at Harvard University. She was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for History in 1991 for A Midwife’s Tale.
